What is COP ?
COP stands for "Conference Of the Parties, and is a division of the UN setup specifically to gather the countries of the world together to discuss and negotiate how they are going to answer the questions posed by climate change.
In 2015 the world’s nations came together in Paris and agreed that every country had to commit to preventing climate change from increasing the temperature of the planet.
With the 26th COP conference starting in Glasgow on Sunday 31 October it is now time to discuss how the Paris agreements are being upheld.
However currently there is a rise in the use of fossil fuels globally, the efforts of most countries are behind COP targets set, and it is likely that COP26 will find that deadlines need to be extended.

Regardless of how the COP26 conference concludes, and how it's aims are similar to our own Become Carbon Negative will still advocate the planting of trees.
Only by tree-planting can we reduce the worlds levels of CO2, increase oxygen levels, cool the world and improve the habitability of our environment.
